The artifact is a conventional toolbox with folded legs that once extended allows the device to be used as a stool around 20" tall.

This is my artifact in Toolbox configuration, note that the four legs are folded down under the toolbox bottom not interfering with the normal use of it.
Of course it can be used as stool with the folded legs too.

This is my artifact in Stool configuration, with the four legs unfolded and ready to use.
The legs unfold and lock in such an angle that make the whole structure stable under the load of a person's weight.
The height of the top step from the floor level should be around 20" (50 cm).
The surface on which the person stands is made of an anti-slippery material, like soft rubber.
Tentatively I estimate the device should be designed to stand a load of  300 lbs minimum, and the empty weight no more than 10 lbs, and made of plastic, this is something to corroborate in posterior steps.
